Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born on March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara has been awarded a variety of prizes, including the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara made her name as an actor when she joined in 1974 of The Second City, an comedy troupe that was based in Toronto. She was a part of the principal ensemble cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. The next year, O'Hara and Candy began work on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received the attention of critics for both her work as a comic actress and as a writer, securing a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was part of the newly formed Second City artistic Advisory Board that was headed by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
