Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was teacher and family therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian, of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
